Production Line Material Handler
1st shift hours are 5 : 15am-3 : 30pm M-F
2nd shift hours are 2 : 15pm-1am M-TH
$17.50-$19.50 starting pay, weekly overtime available.
Reports to : Production Line Supervisor
Summary :
This is a fast-paced position that will require the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. Fifty percent of the time will be spent palletizing and wrapping pallets and the other fifty percent will be spent supplying the line with materials.
Responsibilities :
- Locates materials and supplies by picking and verifying materials and supplies listed on the work order.
- Maintains in-process inventory at the production line by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
- Receives return material and supplies from production by verifying material quantity; placing materials back in stock.
- Prepares finished stock for shipment by labeling, loading, pulling, and securing product.
- Documents product quantity to be shipped by accurately recording cases on pallet sheet.
- Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, making operator repairs.
- Aware of operational environment to ensure safety for self and others at all times.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Operates and maintains various material handling equipment including forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks and utility carts.
- Maintains organized, clean safe work area.
- Working with RF Scanning equipment to maintain records of merchandise shipped, as well as examine, stock and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
- Finished goods palletizing.
- Performs additional duties assigned.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand / walk for extended periods of time, 95% standing, lifting, walking, bending
- Ability to lift 20 to 50 lbs. repetitively throughout the course of a shift without assistance
- Ability to utilize pallet jack, manual and electric
- Areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather
- Provided PPE must be worn when required and safety precautions must be followed
Hours :
- Hours are dependent on shift, 1st shift 5 : 15am-2 : 30pm or 3 : 30pm, 2nd shift 2 : 15pm-1am
- Position requires ability to work overtime, varying start times and weekends dependent on business need
Education / Experience :
- High School education or equivalent
- 3-6 months related experience
- Prior material handling or inventory experience preferred
