Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Inspector for a position in our manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance.
This role requires a blend of technical acumen, communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. If you are an expert in Quality Assurance, AS9100, and Process Improvement, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the quality assurance inspection team and oversee the inspection of machined parts and components, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Utilize Zeiss CMM and Calypso software to inspect and verify product dimensions and identify non-conformities.
- Interpret and apply ASME and GD&T standards in the inspection process.
- Use a variety of measuring instruments and optical comparators to ensure product quality and precision.
- Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain ISO 9001 and AS9100 certification requirements, ensuring all processes are compliant and well documented.
- Conduct root cause analysis for any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Use ERP systems to track and report on quality metrics and trends.
- Train and mentor junior inspectors, promoting a culture of quality and excellence.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, AS9100, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient with Zeiss CMM, Calypso software, and various measuring instruments.
- Excellent understanding of ASME and GD&T.
- Experience with ERP systems and ability to generate and analyze quality reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) would be an asset.
