We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic Finance team. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial accounting and general ledger activities of our organization. This is a permanent position in the Finance industry that offers excellent growth opportunities and a competitive salary package.
Responsibilities:
1. General Ledger Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including but not limited to current assets and retained earnings.
2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Provide accurate and timely financial reports to management, highlighting key insights and trends.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the Finance team to develop and manage the annual budgeting process. Monitor budget variances, investigate discrepancies, and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures. Assist in financial forecasting and scenario planning.
4. Client Focus: Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring exceptional client service. Respond to inquiries, resolve accounting issues, and provide financial advice and guidance to support decision-making.
5. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen internal controls. Implement best practices and leverage technology to automate manual tasks and improve reporting accuracy.
6. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
1. 5 years of financial accounting/general ledger experience in a similar role, preferably within the Finance industry.
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are highly desirable.
3. Strong client focus and excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
4. Tech-savvy with advanced proficiency in ERP systems and other accounting software. Experience with implementing or upgrading ERP systems is a plus.
5. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
6. Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
7. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and strong analytical skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
8. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing a team. Ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and objectives.
