We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager or experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team in the construction industry. This is a permanent position offering a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated professionals. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations. This company will be implementing Trimble Construction One system to take over for Quickbooks Desktop so any experience with Trimble Construction One would be a huge PLUS!

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Manage month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop for all financial operations including invoicing, expense tracking, and budget management.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate with HR to manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to all employees.
• Implement and manage new accounting systems and processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations and filing requirements.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy and security.
• Provide leadership and support to accounting staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting management role, preferably within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and/or Trimble Construction software.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with system implementation and management.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
