Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced Finance team. This is a permanent position where the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising, tracking, and evaluating day-to-day activities in our accounting department.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Provide recommendations for improving systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy meet financial standards.
- Address budgeting issues, perform cost and scenario analysis, and make relevant decisions.
- Collaborate with team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in an accounting management role overseeing 4-5 team members.
- CPA a plus
