We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Accounts Payable Associate to join our fast-paced finance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial data. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.
*While this role is remote it does require travel a few days per month to either Louisville Kentucky, or Nashville Tennessee, or Philadelphia PA. (company will cover expenses for travel)
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable activities including invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment processing.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions.
- Use Netsuite or equivalent software to manage financial transactions and generate financial reports.
- Perform three-way match of invoices, purchase orders, and goods receipts to ensure accuracy of transactions.
- Maintain vendor files and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in the month-end closing process by preparing accounts payable reports and reconciliations.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary information and answering inquiries.
- Continually review processes and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve account discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar.
- Proficiency in Netsuite or equivalent financial management software.
- Strong knowledge of the three-way match process.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to use formulas, pivot tables, and other advanced functions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve discrepancies and issues promptly and effectively.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures.
- A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
