We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Assistant Superintendent to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. This role is ideal for a professional who is ready to take on the challenge of managing construction projects from the ground up. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach with the ability to lead, manage and coordinate the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, labor, and materials. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge in blueprint reading, field layout, carpentry, and more, to ensure the successful completion of our construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Superintendent in managing all phases of the construction process from inception to completion.
• Review and understand the project plans and specifications.
• Monitor and manage the performance of subcontractors to ensure compliance with the project plan.
• Coordinate and oversee field operations including subcontractors, labor, and materials.
• Perform daily field walks to monitor activities and assist in the resolution of field issues.
• Assist in the creation and management of the project schedule.
• Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to, maintaining a safe and secure job site at all times.
• Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
• Assist in the resolution of design and detail issues, coordinating with the project team to ensure the highest level of quality in our projects.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and field layout.
• Knowledge of construction methods and carpentry.
• Ability to manage and coordinate the activities of subcontractors effectively.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in the use of computer software related to construction project management.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to work in various weather conditions and on challenging terrain.
• Physical ability to walk job sites, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
