Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive tax advice on a wide range of issues, including but not limited to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives.
- Review and negotiate tax provisions in merger and acquisition agreements, and work closely with the legal team to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with tax professionals in other areas of the business to ensure consistent application of tax policies and procedures.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide clear, concise, and practical advice.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and risks.
- Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their potential impact on the company.
- Represent the company in tax audits and disputes, and liaise with tax authorities as necessary.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners and other stakeholders.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in at least one state.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax law.
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
