We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Attorney to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support across a range of areas, including insurance defense, employment law, labor law, general litigation, and maritime law. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated legal professional who is looking for a challenging role in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various complex legal issues related to insurance defense, employment law, labor law, general litigation, and maritime law.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents and agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Represent the company in court proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and negotiations, as necessary.
4. Provide sound legal advice to clients, ensuring they are fully informed of their rights, obligations, and legal options.
5. Develop and implement effective legal strategies to protect the company's interests and minimize potential legal risks.
6. Stay updated with the latest developments in laws, regulations, and industry trends relevant to the company's operations.
7. Collaborate with other members of the legal team and work closely with various departments within the company to ensure consistent legal approach and compliance.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, with a strong background in insurance defense, employment law, labor law, general litigation, and maritime law.
3. Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar.
4. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
5. Proven ability to manage multiple cases and projects, with a strong attention to detail.
6. Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
8. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
9. Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team.
10. Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
