Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an EPB (Employee Benefit Plans) Audit Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our clients' employee benefit plans through thorough and meticulous auditing.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive audits of employee benefit plans, including retirement plans and health and welfare plans.
Collaborate with clients to gather relevant financial information and documentation.
Assess and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including ERISA and other relevant guidelines.
Perform risk assessments and develop audit plans tailored to each client's specific employee benefit plans.
Identify areas for improvement in clients' internal controls and provide recommendations.
Prepare detailed audit reports, summarizing findings, and presenting recommendations for corrective actions.
Stay abreast of changes in regulations and industry best practices related to employee benefit plan audits.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and integrated client service experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is preferred.
Significant experience in auditing, with a focus on employee benefit plans.
In-depth knowledge of ERISA regulations and other relevant compliance standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
