Job Details:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Biomedical Equipment Tech to join our dynamic team. This role will be at the forefront of maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safety and functionality of our vast range of biomedical equipment. The successful candidate will be working closely with medical staff to ensure optimal performance of biomedical equipment and will be actively involved in inspections, calibrations, and testing of medical devices. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment where you will play a crucial role in patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Execute routine inspections and preventive maintenance on biomedical equipment to ensure they meet all standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning or broken biomedical equipment.
• Calibrate equipment to ensure it meets the required precision.
• Conduct safety tests and operational verification tests on medical devices.
• Train medical staff on the correct use of equipment and provide technical assistance when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all inspections, maintenance, repairs, and tests performed.
• Work closely with other biomedical technicians and medical staff to ensure all equipment is functioning optimally.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in biomedical technology and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Tech or in a similar role.
• Certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) is required.
• In-depth knowledge of medical equipment, including the ability to repair, calibrate, and test devices.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and repair complex biomedical equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards in the medical industry.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively train medical staff on equipment use.
• Proficient in the use of various tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to participate in continuous learning and training opportunities.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
