Job Details
As the Legal Business Center Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Firm's Business Center. Your role is crucial in establishing the strategic and operational priorities that will enable the team to deliver exceptional customer service to our stakeholders. You will lead and guide the BC team, ensuring efficient workflows, high-quality service, and effective communication to support the Firm's legal professionals and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Business Center team, providing clear direction, support, and mentorship to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide regular feedback to team members to drive their professional growth.
- Develop and implement the strategic vision and operational priorities for the Business Center in alignment with the Firm's overall goals.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the BC to enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the BC's services meet the evolving needs of the Firm.
- Champion a customer-centric approach, emphasizing best-in-class service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) to measure and uphold service quality standards.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex issues, resolving them promptly and effectively to ensure client satisfaction
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure the BC operates efficiently and meets service demands.
- Monitor workloads and staffing levels, making adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal productivity.
- Implement performance metrics to evaluate team performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Stay abreast of legal technology advancements and trends, integrating relevant tools and solutions into the BC's workflows.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to identify and implement process automation and digitalization initiatives.
- Collaborate with Finance and Management to establish and manage the BC's budget.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
- Ensure that the Business Center operates in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- 4 years experience in a legal operations management/supervisory or a similar role within a law firm.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Strong strategic planning and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Sound financial acumen to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Familiarity with legal technology and process automation tools.
- Knowledge of legal industry trends and best practices.
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Professional certifications related to legal management or business administration may be preferred but not required.
