Job Details
The Corporate Buyer(Purchasing) implements new or improved supply chain processes to improve efficiency and performance through the collection and evaluation of data, analysis of operations and equipment, and development of new strategies, plans, or procedures. This position supports the supply chain for Packaging for one, two or all three of our facilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Tracking KPIs and analyzing the performance of the supply chain
Analyze supply chain to advise the buying decisions for production packaging
Support production and business operations through managing facility and technology projects by monitoring project progression (for purchased items) and budget allocations
Produce and analyze inventory data, including packaging specifications, to advise general buying decisions
Analysis of production specifications and preparation of related RFP’s
Project management related to analyze purchased item specifications and supplier quality meets or exceeds BWF manufacturing and quality requirements for efficient line production and finished product standards
Prepare cost analysis projects to support supplier price negotiation
Foster positive relationships with internal customers and external vendors
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Expert level proficiency with ERP and Inventory Management software systems
Strong financial data analysis skills
Project Management skills
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with managers, peers and suppliers
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (proficient to advanced Excel knowledge required) or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Project Management is preferred; or an equal amount of experience combined with Supply Chain training/certifications
Minimum of three years of manufacturing Supply Chain experience preferred.
