We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Permanent Buyer to join our thriving manufacturing team. Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, including knowledge of import/export issues, pricing of raw materials, labor rates, and manufacturing costs. This role requires proficiency in ERP software and MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials. The Permanent Buyer will play a critical role in our company's success by ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the procurement process for raw materials, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products.
2. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities in meeting the company's requirements.
3. Negotiate contracts with suppliers, focusing on price, delivery schedules, and terms and conditions to ensure the best value for the company.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
5. Resolve any issues related to the supply chain, such as delays in delivery, quality concerns, or pricing disputes.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import/export regulations and ensure compliance in all transactions.
7. Utilize ERP software for efficient data management and reporting.
8. Continually assess market conditions and industry trends to identify potential impacts on procurement activities and make strategic recommendations.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Buyer in the manufacturing industry.
2. Knowledge of import/export issues, pricing of raw materials, labor rates, and manufacturing costs.
3. Proficiency in ERP software and MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
4. CPIM certification or other APICS certification is preferred.
5. Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful contract management.
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
7. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
