We are seeking an experienced Cad Draftsman to join our dynamic team. This position is an integral part of our construction division, where you will be responsible for providing high-quality drafting and design services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction principles, home design, and be proficient in the use of AutoCAD. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for design, an eye for detail, and a desire to contribute to the creation of beautiful, functional, and sustainable homes.
Responsibilities:
1. Utilize AutoCAD to prepare detailed drawings of architectural designs and plans for buildings and structures according to specifications provided by architects.
2. Work closely with architects, engineers, and other team members to understand and execute design plans.
3. Review architectural drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
4. Assist in the preparation of design and construction documents, and coordinate with other team members to ensure timely completion.
5. Contribute to the development of design concepts, and provide technical input during the design process.
6. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
7. Continually update technical knowledge and skills by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cad Draftsman in the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
3. Strong knowledge of construction principles, home design, and drafting techniques.
4. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work output.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently when required.
6. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design, or a related field would be advantageous.
