We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Civil Engineer to join our fast-paced Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of challenging and innovative projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure. This role requires expertise in site development, HEC-RAS, 2D and 3D modeling, geotechnical, Civil 3D, and land surveying.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed designs for civil engineering projects.
- Use HEC-RAS software for hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.
- Create 2D and 3D models for project visualization and planning.
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and provide recommendations on construction feasibility.
- Utilize Civil 3D software to support construction and design processes.
- Perform land surveying tasks to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.
- Prepare reports, designs and drawings, making calculations about loads and stresses.
- Select appropriate construction materials, providing detailed specifications for construction teams.
- Manage project budgets and project resources.
- Schedule material and equipment purchases and delivery.
- Ensure projects run smoothly and structures are completed within budget and on time.
- Work closely with project managers, construction crews, and government agencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering.
- Proficiency in site development, HEC-RAS, 2D and 3D modeling, geotechnical, Civil 3D, and land surveying.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
- Excellent mathematical, IT and analytical skills.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize and plan effectively.
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and quality standards.
