We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Civil Project Manager to join our growing team in the construction industry. This is a permanent position that requires a strong leader who can manage complex civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of civil construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, purchase orders, crew mobilization, working with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a diverse team of professionals and tradespeople, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Oversee all aspects of project management, from initial planning and budgeting to scheduling, execution, and finalization.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met.
- Manage and direct the mobilization of crews and resources to project sites.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and contracts, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Ensure all projects comply with DOT regulations and other relevant industry standards.
- Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Develop and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring all work is carried out to the required standards.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outcomes.
- Conduct project reviews and create detailed reports for executive staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management in the construction industry, with a focus on civil projects.
- Proven experience in managing complex civil construction projects, including bridges and other large structures.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and other relevant industry standards.
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
- Proficiency in relevant project management software.
