As a National Claims Director, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our New Home Division, managing a team of claims adjusters specializing in workmanship, systems, and structural defect warranty claims. Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the New Home Claims Department, including performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Establish and refine processes in accordance with applicable regulations to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage budgets and financial reporting, and collaborate with Senior Management on staffing projections.
- Conduct audits to ensure quality and compliance with warranty and contract provisions.
- Serve as a Warranty Claims expert, educating team members and clients, and authorizing settlements within established limits.
- Establish Audit Criteria and conduct file audits to ensure compliance with claims practices.
- Conduct claim investigations, negotiate settlements, and communicate warranty standards to stakeholders.
- Travel occasionally for field inspections, arbitrations, and mediations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Active Property and Casualty Adjuster’s license with the ability to obtain and maintain a reciprocal adjuster’s license.
- 8 years of Claims Adjusting experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the New Home Warranty Industry and construction practices.
- Strong leadership skills, including at least 5 years of management experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting regulations, contracts, and technical information.
- Knowledge of tort, contract, and agency law.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
