Job Details
Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate a 5-axis CNC milling machine to manufacture precision metal components, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CNC machines to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in secondary operations, including tapping, deburring, and reaming, to meet production deadlines.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to inspect parts and maintain high standards of quality throughout the production process.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools and machinery to ensure the production of quality hardware with on-time delivery.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment in the machine shop.
What you need for this position :
- Proven experience in operating 5-axis CNC machines, with a focus on Okuma, Mazak, Fanuc, and Siemens controls.
- Technical or trade school certification in machining, CNC programming, or a related field is required.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving nonconformance issues, with strong analytical and reasoning skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, while managing multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Must be physically capable of prolonged standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
