We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Divisional Plant Controller. This position plays a critical role in the financial planning, reporting, and control processes of our manufacturing plants. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, inventory control, financial forecasting, and collaboration with operational teams. This role requires a significant amount of travel (50%) to our manufacturing sites in Texas, Mississippi, or Tennessee depending on the location of the candidate.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement cost accounting procedures to enhance the accuracy of plant financial data and provide better visibility into plant operations.
2. Establish and maintain controls over inventory and fixed assets to ensure proper valuation and safeguarding of company assets.
3. Prepare forecasts and budgets for the plants, including monthly forecasts of revenues, costs, and operating expenses.
4. Collaborate with the Operation team to identify cost savings opportunities and operational efficiencies.
5. Ensure proper accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the plants.
7. Provide financial analysis and decision support to plant management and corporate finance team.
8. Assist in the development of strategic plans and capital budgeting processes for the plants.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. An MBA is preferred.
2. A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on cost accounting and financial control.
3. At least 3 years of experience in a plant controller or similar role.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
5. Exceptional financial analysis and forecasting skills.
6. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both operational and financial personnel.
7. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to our manufacturing sites in Texas, Mississippi, or Tennessee.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
9. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
10. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
