Our well-established manufacturing company is currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial health of our organization by analyzing every day financial activities and subsequently providing advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans. The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a busy workplace, and is well-versed in working closely with senior management.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee all company accounts and investments.
2. Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
3. Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
4. Supervise and manage small financial department team.
5. Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback.
6. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
7. Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
8. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
9. Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
10. Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
11. Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
12. Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
13. Report to the CEO with timely and accurate financial information.
14. Assist the CEO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
2. Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA).
3. 5 years of proven experience in a managerial position in a manufacturing environment.
4. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
5. Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
6. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
7. An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
8. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
9. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
10. A proven track record of managing and reducing operational costs while maintaining or increasing productivity.
11. Experience with audits, inventory management, and disbursements.
