Our company is seeking a committed and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a robust understanding of accounting principles and financial operations to contribute to a fast-paced, progressive organization. In this role, you will work closely with our finance team to manage financial functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliations, and quarterly filings. You will also be responsible for preparing annual plans and budgets, forecasting financial statements, and creating statements of cash flow.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.
3. Prepare and analyze the monthly budget/forecast-to-actual reports, providing detailed insights and recommendations.
4. Perform quarterly filing and reconciliation of all accounts, maintaining accurate and comprehensive financial records.
5. Prepare annual plans and budgets in collaboration with department heads and management.
6. Forecast financial statements and business activity for the upcoming year.
7. Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
8. Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis.
9. Create ad-hoc reports for management as required.
10. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
3. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel, and experience with accounting software.
5. Experience with general ledger functions, month-end/year-end close processes, and forecasting.
6. Proven ability to manage and process accounts payable and receivable.
7. Demonstrated skills in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.
8. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
10. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
