Job Details

Our organization is seeking an experienced Controller to join our team within the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall management of all financial operations, providing accurate financial information, and ensuring that all accounting allocations are appropriately made and documented. This role will play a critical part in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of our company..

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities.
• Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes the minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
• Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
• Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets so as to monitor progress and present operational metrics.
• Manage the preparation of all financial reports.
• Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to leadership (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required).
• Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
• Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms' performance.
• Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies) and other corporate policies.
• Proficiency in analyzing data, building reports, and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends.
• Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA, CMA or other related qualifications are a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven record of success preferably from the manufacturing industry.
