Job Details
Main Tasks:
- Programming
- Controls hardware design engineering- conceptualizing, material and vendor analysis, detailing schematics and panel layouts, parts ordering, field connection diagrams
- Commissioning automated equipment
- Working with customers
- Service after the sale
- Responsibility for managing subprojects
- Support of sales and quoting
- Travel as required for pre-sales meetings and to accomplish testing, acceptance and support of supplied control systems - 25% travel
Knowledge:
- Robotics programming
- PLC programming - Allen-Bradley required
- Experience in Human Machine Interface (HMI)
- Field buses
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical designs - Panel design/build and schematics
Experience Needed:
- Design & develop Electrical Schematics and Electrical Panel Layouts for projects as needed using AutoCAD
- Develop & implement the programming required, such as: PLC/IPC, Cognex Insight, SQL Database, and Robotics
- Execute PLC/HMI system programming
- Work with customers to develop and refine controls systems and interfaces to ensure satisfaction and ease of system operation
