We are currently seeking a highly skilled Permanent Custom Woodworker with a passion for crafting unique and exquisite wooden products. This role is perfect for a creative, detail-oriented individual who thrives on creating high-quality, custom woodwork, and enjoys the satisfaction of seeing their projects come to life. The selected candidate will work on a variety of projects, from small intricate designs to large-scale architectural features, and will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment. This role is perfect for an experienced woodworker who is looking for a permanent position where they can grow and develop their skills.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, measure, and layout projects accurately using detailed blueprints and drawings.
• Operate a variety of woodworking machines such as power saws, jointers, and mortisers to surface, cut, and shape lumber and wood parts.
• Perform detailed work, including intricate carving and shaping, using hand tools.
• Select appropriate wood, materials, and finishes for each project.
• Construct high-quality, custom millwork items such as furniture, cabinetry, and architectural features.
• Apply finishes to products, including staining, sealing, painting, varnishing, or lacquering.
• Inspect and repair damaged product parts, and make necessary modifications as per client requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the design and engineering team to ensure the highest quality of work.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a woodworking or carpentry role.
• Proven experience with custom millwork, measuring, and finishing techniques.
• High level of proficiency in operating woodworking machinery and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong appreciation for quality.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of different types of wood, their characteristics, and best uses.
• Proficient in applying a range of finishes to wood products.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Physical stamina and strength, with the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Formal training in woodworking, carpentry, or a related field is a plus.
