Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and supervising the PE, EM, and Motion Controls engineering team,
- Generating novel concepts that enhance and advance our existing technologies, facilitating the creation of innovative products. All fresh product development will adhere to a structured internal endorsement procedure involving senior company personnel,
- Enhancing each PE and EM product via technical and financial assessment to bolster product cost-effectiveness, dependability, and functionality,
- Enhancing and extending current hardware and software product documentation processes, including the streamlining of hardware and software design releases,
- Supplying technical assistance to the sales and business development team,
- Offering expedited on-site service support to the external customer installed base on a prioritized basis, as required,
- Assisting project engineering and implementation teams by furnishing vital resources and aid promptly,
- Cultivating a repository of technical knowledge and proficient personnel capable of defining PE product manufacturing processes.
- Devising testing protocols and procedures to record the performance of both existing and new products,
- Sharing pertinent data with the broader company as necessary to bolster sales, marketing, and the needs of external customers.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Master's degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering is required, with a preference for specialization in Power Electronics and Motion Controls engineering.
- A proven track record of at least 10 years in roles showcasing technical leadership and personnel management within the realm of Power Electronic products.
Key Competencies and Experience:
- Extensive knowledge encompassing electrical systems and rotating machinery, including practical involvement in system integration and effective troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in articulating complex concepts through both written and verbal means, demonstrated through technical papers, customer presentations, as well as contributions to marketing and business expansion endeavors.
- Functioning as the primary technical liaison for both internal and external stakeholders, overseeing the preparation of design review materials for pivotal stages such as PDR and CDR, as well as formulating comprehensive testing and validation methodologies.
- Expertise in devising high-speed power inverter architectures tailored for motor drives, with adeptness in addressing challenges related to harmonics and electromagnetic interference.
- A comprehensive understanding of power switching devices such as IGBTs, MOSFETs, and Wide Band Gap devices, coupled with a profound familiarity with associated power hardware components like magnetics, switchgear, and power capacitors.
- Profound familiarity with Analog and Digital circuit design, as well as a nuanced understanding of the manufacturing processes associated with these designs.
