Job Details

We are looking for a dedicated Director of Technology to focus on the implementation and integration of new platforms, automated processes, and reporting. You'll drive optimization and scalability for the firm as a whole, but more specifically within the back- and middle-office. You should have a mix of technology and finance or operations experience with strong project management, analytical, and communication skills. You'll work closely with Technology, Operations, Finance, Portfolio Analytics, and will report into the Head of Operations.

Job Duties:

• Partner with business leads across various functions to gather, prioritize, and execute requirements
• Treat requirements as consulting engagements, understanding who the consumer is and identifying process improvement opportunities
• Study and research requirements in order to select the correct method/tool/software/process for execution
• Prepare cost/benefit analysis of larger projects to help determine if project should proceed
• In partnership with key stakeholders, establish a long-term vision for BSP’s technology platform
• Manage the ongoing project and development pipeline of system enhancements and bugs in close partnership with technology
• In partnership with the Head of Operations oversee the day-to-day workload of offshore development team, forecasting capacity concerns

Ideal Background:

• 10 years of experience within financial services with a mix of IT operations in data, infrastructure, applications and technology.
• Experience working with debt instruments, preferably at a credit manager or private equity firm (security types: leveraged loans, bonds, equity, and derivatives)
• Ability to partner and communicate effectively across an organization including with technology, operations, portfolio analytics, portfolio management, and research
• Strong Microsoft Office skills are required: Experience with SQL, JIRA, business intelligence tools are a preferred
• Proven record of project management/oversight with strong communication skills
• Team player with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels within the firm
