Are you a passionate and dedicated Emergency Department RN with a desire to make a significant impact in the lives of patients? We're seeking an experienced nurse who thrives in high-pressure situations and is eager to be on the front lines of emergency care. As a Permanent Emergency Department RN, you will be an integral member of our dynamic, fast-paced team. You will have the opportunity to utilize your critical thinking skills, medical knowledge, and compassionate nature to provide immediate care to patients in critical condition. This role offers a chance to work in a state-of-the-art facility with a supportive team and advanced technology.
Responsibilities:
As an Emergency Department RN, your primary duties will include:
1. Providing immediate and effective medical care to patients who present with a broad range of conditions, from minor injuries to severe trauma.
2. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, paramedics, and other nurses, to deliver high-quality patient care.
3. Conducting thorough patient assessments, developing individualized care plans, and documenting all patient interactions in their medical records.
4. Administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient responses to treatment.
5. Educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and potential health risks.
6. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment in compliance with healthcare procedures and regulations.
7. Participating in continuous education and training programs to stay updated on the latest medical procedures and protocols.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Emergency Department RN position, you must possess the following:
1. A valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an ED RN, Emergency Department RN, Emergency Room RN, ER RN, Critical Care RN, Acute Care RN, or equivalent.
3. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
4. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, but not required.
5. Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond quickly and accurately in emergency situations.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
7. A strong commitment to patient care, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
8. The ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the emergency department's 24/7 operation.
9. Physical stamina to endure long hours standing and walking, and the ability to lift or move patients as necessary.
