We are currently seeking an experienced Permanent Estimator to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction estimation, with a particular focus on commercial, hospital, college, university, and government projects. Responsibilities

As a Permanent Estimator, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and time requirements.
2. Reviewing blueprints, architectural drawings, and other construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
3. Conducting site visits and gathering all necessary data to prepare accurate and competitive estimates.
4. Assessing cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
5. Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
6. Working closely with project managers and other team members to ensure that estimates are accurate and projects are completed within budget.
7. Presenting prepared estimates to clients, when necessary, explaining the details and specifics of the costings.
8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest construction methods, materials, and trends to ensure the most cost-effective estimates.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with a focus on commercial, hospital, college, university, and government projects.
2. A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
3. Proficiency in construction estimating software and other relevant computer applications.
4. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
6. A deep understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
7. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
9. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and devise effective solutions.
