Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the gaming commission, ensuring the achievement of objectives and goals.
2. Oversee all gaming operations and activities, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
3. Establish, revise, and enforce rules and regulations for the casino, ensuring fair and responsible gaming practices.
4. Oversee the surveillance of all gaming activities, ensuring the integrity of games and the safety of all patrons and staff.
5. Lead and manage a team of gaming professionals, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth and development.
6. Liaise with government agencies, industry representatives, and the public on matters related to gaming.
7. Conduct regular reviews of the commission’s operations and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Ensure the commission’s financial stability, overseeing budgeting and financial management activities.
9. Advocate for responsible gaming practices and initiatives, promoting awareness and education among staff and the public.
10. Handle any disputes or complaints related to gaming activities, ensuring a fair and timely resolution.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role within the gaming industry, with a strong emphasis on gaming commission, overseeing surveillance, and establishing rules for the casino.
2. Extensive knowledge of gaming laws and regulations, as well as industry trends and developments.
3. Proven leadership and management skills, with a track record of leading high-performing teams.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
5. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
6. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or equivalent will be considered an advantage.
7. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical gaming practices.
8. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve disputes effectively and amicably.
