Job DetailsSummary:
- Support Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) development for interchange of information between health information technology systems, including both intramural systems and external systems. Builds, optimizes, and maintains complex web-based applications using a variety of programming technologies. Employs systematic approaches for debugging cross-system issues, utilizing abstractions and code isolation to actively search for security vulnerabilities. Documents all stages of the software development process, ensuring integrity of code by peer review.
- Support development, delivery, and execution, and work with a team of specialists. Support clinical and translational by providing tools and services to extract, organize, curate, transform, and communicate clinical data and healthcare operations data. Assist research team members with the application of FHIR information and standards. Execute data standards projects, synthesize and analyze complex data, and work with the team to develop high-quality deliverables and actionable recommendations in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, informatics, or closely related field.
Minimum Experience/Accountabilities:
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with FHIR standards, emerging systems integration technologies, analysis, design, programming, training, and implementation planning
- 2 years of experience with developing artifacts, including resources and profile definitions, following the development guidelines, policies, and procedures as defined for FHIR development
- 2 years of experience developing and translating non-FHIR API's to FHIR API calls and vice versa
- 2 years of experience creating custom API bundles for 3rd party vendor software
Additional Qualifications:
- AWS API Gateway experience (creating, bundling, publishing APIs)
- Administering Okta for OAuth 2.0 certificates
- Mulesoft configuration/administration experience is a Plus
- Experience with health or bioinformatics software tools, including SAS, R, JMP, or JMP Clinical
- Knowledge and experience with Cerner Ignite FHIR API healthcare data
- Experience with research and business workflows in healthcare
- Demonstrated experience working with research and development teams
Knowledge and experience of other Healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 is a plus
