Job Details

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial operations of the company including developing and implementing financial strategies, systems, policies, and procedures.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
• Manage cost accounting and inventory management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Ensure the company is in compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations and ensure filings are completed in a timely manner.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
• Evaluate and manage business risks, investments, and capital structure.
• Ensure the efficient and effective management of company’s financial resources, driving financial planning, and profitability.
• Coordinate tax planning processes and compliance with relevant tax authorities.
• Provide operational support to various departments, ensuring alignment with overall company financial goals.
• Implement and manage the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Manage and administer the company's Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOPs).
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the lumber or construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and tax planning.
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Experience with ESOPs will be considered an asset.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
• Should have lumber or construction experience
