Our construction company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing fire sprinkler systems for commercial and residential buildings. The role requires a strong understanding of NICET and design principles.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial and residential buildings.
• Conduct site visits to assess the building's layout and determine the best placement for sprinkler heads.
• Create detailed drawings and schematics using CAD software.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure the sprinkler system design meets building codes and regulations.
• Review and approve submittals from contractors and vendors.
• Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure the sprinkler system is capable of providing adequate water flow and pressure.
• Provide technical support to project managers and field personnel during installation and testing of the sprinkler system.
• Maintain accurate records of all design documents and revisions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience designing fire sprinkler systems.
• NICET certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and hydraulic calculation software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
