Crypto startup in the digital wallet space is hiring for a Head of Engineering! Their founder runs a VC firm and they are in the market and are backed by a fantastic group of investors and angels in crypto & SaaS. You will have the opportunity to pioneer building a product that is at the frontier of the industry! They are building a wallet platform that enables organizations to easily issue tens to thousands of permission-controlled wallets and helps organizations scale their operations. The platform streamlines internal spending and expense workflows and serves as the system of record for treasury transactions, OAuth history, and employee identity.

Job Details

In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate closely with the CEO, gaining comprehensive insights into every facet of the company's operations and strategic direction. You'll be instrumental in refining our user experience, working directly with customers to ensure our product not only meets but exceeds industry standards. As a technical leader, you're expected to set an example by actively coding alongside your team, demonstrating the importance of being hands-on. You'll establish and uphold engineering and operational best practices, raising the bar for the entire engineering team to achieve unparalleled results.

Your responsibilities will also include shaping the company's technical strategy and vision, ensuring a perfect balance between reliability, speed of iteration, robustness, and security. Externally, you'll act as a representative of the company, engaging with customers, partners, and participating in key events to strengthen our presence in the market. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in nurturing our company culture, offering guidance and mentorship to engineers at all levels, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented environment.

Requirements:,

• 5 years of software engineering experience, with 2 or more years of experience in a manager or tech leadership position
• Experience working with languages and frameworks Solidity, TypeScript
• BS or MS in computer science, engineering, or other technical degrees
• Background in the crypto, DeFi, or Web3 startup scene
• Experience working across the entire technical stack including platform, infrastructure, and protocol systems
• You are familiar with backend and frontend technologies, web development, and design
• The product-driven mindset and enjoy a fast-paced environment with a delivery-minded mentality: iterate fast, ship fast, innovate fast
• Experience with Go, and/or React is highly preferred
• Strong desire to work at a very early stage startup with interest to take on project from zero to one with collaboration with the rest of the core team
• Fluent in writing design documentation as well as participating in technical discussions and reviews synchronously, asynchronously, in person or remotely
• Experience with tools, practices, and programming patterns for ensuring software correctness
