Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Civil Project Engineer in the Construction industry, where you will be a key player in delivering some of the most challenging and complex projects in the world. This is an opportunity to work with a leading construction company that values the growth and development of its employees. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about the construction industry, has a keen eye for detail, and is committed to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing all engineering aspects of heavy civil construction projects from conception to completion.
2. Implementing and maintaining quality control measures to ensure project specifications and standards are met.
3. Supervising site activities and coordinating with various teams to ensure efficient and safe operations.
4. Reviewing, processing, and managing change orders to ensure project continuity and cost-effectiveness.
5. Managing ticket systems effectively to track project progress, issues, and resolutions.
6. Collaborating with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project success.
7. Preparing and presenting project updates and progress reports to senior management and clients.
8. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction projects, with a proven track record of successful project completion.
3. Demonstrable experience in quality control, site supervision, change order management, and ticket management.
4. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
5. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
6. Proficient in construction software and project management tools.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8. A valid professional engineering (PE) license would be an added advantage.
