We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Junior Accountant to join our team in the medical industry. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to harness your skills in financial reporting, bank reconciliations, and month-end close operations. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our financial team, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of our financial information. This role is instrumental in driving the company's financial performance and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
2. Perform complex bank reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
3. Manage the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
4. Support the budgeting and forecasting activities, providing detailed financial reports and projections.
5. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
7. Provide financial expertise and guidance to the management team, offering recommendations for improvements and cost-saving strategies.
8. Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
9. Review and process expense reports and invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies and procedures.
10. Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
2. A minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the medical industry.
3. CPA certification is highly desirable.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting is required.
5. Proficiency in month-end close processes and bank reconciliations.
6. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
7. Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
8. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
