Job Details

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Legal Research Analyst to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position in the legal industry, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting in-depth legal research, analyzing complex legal documents, and providing valuable insights that will aid in our firm's legal proceedings, client intake, and research technology. The Legal Research Analyst will work a hybrid schedule out of one of our nine office locations, three days onsite 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive legal research using various research tools to support the firm's legal proceedings.
• Analyze and summarize complicated legal documents, including court cases, legal opinions, statutes, and regulatory rulings.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys to understand their research needs and provide accurate and timely information.
• Develop and maintain a knowledge management system to organize and track legal research resources.
• Keep abreast of new legal developments and advise the team accordingly.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for court proceedings, depositions, and meetings.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the firm's legal research needs are met efficiently and effectively.
  
  

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Information Science, Law or related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 2 years in a law firm.
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret and summarize complex legal information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with attorneys and other team members.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with legal research tools and databases.
