Job Details
**Must have active LPN License
Verifies that essential equipment is functioning properly each day.
Assesses and monitors patients in the post-operative area demonstrating competency with all monitoring equipment.
Transports and positions patients observing policies/procedures, safety requirements, and patient needs.
Documents patient care records and other forms accurately following policies and procedures.
Maintains patient safety, and ensures a clean, orderly environment throughout the Center.
If sterile processing is performed, ensures processing, packaging, sterilization and storage of items are conducted to maintain sterility of items.
May handle specimens obtained during procedure, properly labeling, packaging and preparing for shipment
Addresses individual patient needs, and completes all post-op physician orders.
Conducts pre and post-procedure orientation and instruction of patient and/or patient’s family, communicating a positive and caring attitude. Provides verbal and written discharge criteria.
Conducts pre and post-procedure telephone interviews.
Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
