We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will be providing high-quality sub-acute care to our patients. This role involves a range of tasks including patient care, blood draws, and other nursing duties. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years of experience in the medical field, with a focus on sub-acute care.
Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will be expected to perform the following duties:
1. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a sub-acute setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician.
2. Conduct blood draws and other medical procedures as required.
3. Monitor patients' health conditions, take vital signs, and report any changes to the supervising RN or physician.
4. Administer medications as prescribed by the physician and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
5. Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and comfort.
6. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
7. Educate patients and their families about their health condition and the care they are receiving.
8. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of patient care.
9. Adhere to infection-control protocols to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license from the state.
2. A minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in sub-acute care.
3. Proficiency in performing blood draws and other medical procedures.
4. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to respond to patient needs with compassion and efficiency.
5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
6. Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations related to patient care.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Basic computer skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
10. Physical stamina to work long hours and meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
