Responsibilities
- Develop and refine equipment specifications, performance standards, and cost analyses for integrating machinery into manufacturing processes.
- Provide support for fiber product testing and engineering projects across various manufacturing areas.
- Design and maintain test fixtures, equipment, procedures, and software for manufacturing processes.
- Oversee the transition of products from development to production, ensuring manufacturing processes meet quality, cycle time, and cost expectations.
- Develop and validate manufacturing processes for new products through pilot runs.
- Assist production and manufacturing teams in solving process-related issues and provide assembly support with technical matters, including engineering changes and rework processes.
- Contribute to new product development teams, ensuring timely market delivery and maintaining product quality and manufacturability.
- Analyze workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow to design efficient equipment layouts and workspaces.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for cost analysis.
- Skilled in using personal computers for word processing, test result analysis, information retrieval, and network installation.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology required.
- Experience or internship in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of commonly used installation test equipment, such as spectrum and network analyzers, voltmeters, Category 5e/6 cable testers, - Optical Switches, Optical Attenuators, and Optical Power Meters, is preferred.
