Job Details

Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be a vital part of our dynamic Engineering team. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about solving complex problems, designing intricate systems, and making an impact in the engineering industry. This position requires a unique combination of creativity, technical expertise, and a hands-on approach to design and fabrication. You will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and products by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials, and soliciting observations from operators.

Responsibilities:

• Develop mechanical and electromechanical systems by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; and soliciting observations from operators.
• Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
• Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; and requesting special services as needed.
• Complete projects by training and guiding technicians.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
• Evaluate mechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs and applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components and equipment.
• Strong understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, etc.
• Creativity and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
• Technical writing skills.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes.
• Understanding of a variety of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach for new ideas.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a busy and demanding environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to project manage and work to strict deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
