Job Details
Following are the roles and responsibilities for this position:
- Apply design knowledge in power plant and central utility plant system design and equipment selection
- Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective resolutions.
- Interact with all engineering disciplines, CAD designers, construction project managers, plant operations, and clients.
- Provide project development/ conceptual engineering support to the Business Development Team for qualification submittals, cost estimates, bids, proposals and presentations.
- Perform engineering and design to prepare drawings and specifications; procurement, bid evaluations of equipment and systems required to support EPC contracts.
- Provide insight, guidance, technical review and approval of project documents and submittals.
- Be a technical resource to the Operations Group for startup, testing and trouble-shooting and supporting plant performance upgrades and modifications.
Prerequisites and Qualifications Requirements:
- 10 years work experience in power-related projects.
- Engineering, Design and Equipment experience in the following:
•Central energy and power plant generation systems, including development of mass and heat balances, hydraulic analysis, equipment selection and optimization.
•System installation, startup, testing and commissioning.
•Commercial HVAC system and Building Automation Controls interface would be beneficial
- Professional Engineer registration is required.
- Proficiency using AutoCAD for P&IDs and basic manipulation of plant layouts is highly desirable.
- Proficiency using Caesar II or other Stress Analysis software would be beneficial.
- Proficiency using PipeFlo or other Hydraulic Analyses software would be beneficial.
- Proficiency using Thermoflex or other Heat Balance software would be beneficial.
