Job Details

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Key Accounts Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining profitable relationships with Key Accounts, driving sales growth, and achieving revenue targets. The Key Accounts Sales Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage market insights to position our company as a category expert. Additionally, the candidate will play a crucial role in managing profitability, meeting key performance measures, and identifying new sales channels.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in marketing, advertising, sales, or related field, or equivalent years of proven and successful sales work experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of proven sales success
  • Proven ability to personally execute the solutions sales process, developing new and building account relationships to consistently achieve and exceed sales goals and business results
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Provide leadership and direction for Key Accounts
  • Exceptional business acumen
  • Strong ability to act with urgency, clear expectations, and consistent communication
  • Primary communicator for GSI at Key Accounts
  • Job requires working on a personal computer up to eight hours a day
  • Job requires communicating via telephone up to eight hours a day
  • Job requires regular travel

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a professional sales leader, building and maintaining profitable relationships with Key Accounts
  • Develop new sales growth opportunities and respond to critical service needs
  • Participate in building financial goals to grow revenue and increase product placement across a wide customer base, including Walmart and other large retail providers
  • Collaborate with the PD&D team to identify new markets, users, and formats to support customer base and financial objectives
  • Partner with the Business Intelligence team to drive analytics efforts supporting long-term growth plans
  • Position the company as a category expert by utilizing market insights to drive key opportunities and identify white space
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships across key accounts
  • Manage profitability of key accounts through negotiation of pricing, terms, and other contract agreements
  • Manage and meet Key Performance Measures of key accounts through collaboration with internal departments and across business units
  • Develop new accounts and sales channels, utilizing the established sales development process and conducting client meetings
  • Develop yearly sales plans and goals for Key Accounts and territories or distribution channels
  • Regularly communicate and document all key account activities to the collaborative team
  • Adhere to key account timelines for category and seasonal reviews, presentations, and communicate to the team
  • Collaborate with Business Analyst to develop forecasts for seasonal merchandise programs and new product/program launches
  • Update Sales Pipeline Reports weekly and manage revenue forecast
  • Communicate with Product Development/Marketing on competitive analysis, sales trends, and other relevant information
  • Attend and participate in weekly team/account meetings and strategic sales/product development meetings
  • Study and have in-depth knowledge of weekly sell-thru reports from key accounts
  • Process customer special requests and communicate changes in customer information to relevant departments
  • Assist in identifying and managing customer chargebacks/debits to minimize financial liability
  • Communicate changes to standards of operation for Key Accounts
  • Update customer line lists and communicate plan-o-gram restrictions
  • Work closely with internal and service companies on accounts requiring service contracts/pay-by-scan
  • Responsible for excess inventory sales across assigned retailers and other distribution channels
  • Troubleshoot problems regarding provided products and address reseller questions and complaints
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members and address conflicts with urgency and professionalism
  • Respect time management and exhibit punctuality in all meetings
  • Maintain a professional and focused presence in meetings and presentations
  • Demonstrate preparedness for all meetings and presentations
  • Exhibit exceptional attitude, act with urgency, and provide clear expectations and communication
  • Follow all process procedures, tools, and system requirements as instructed by the manager
  • Perform other assigned and/or required duties as needed
