Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software products or systems to enable client strategies.
- Analyze, modify, and evaluate existing or proposed software, hardware, and business processes.
- Optimize and improve software systems for business efficiency and minimize system downtime.
- Work closely with business analysts, delivery managers, business owners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform unit testing on all new software, correcting issues and making modifications as required.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the project lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge.
- Provide production support and respond to issues as they arise.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in .Net/C# development.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the finance industry.
- Financial services experience is a significant plus.
- Proficient in .NET development tools and methodologies, including ASP.NET, ADO.NET, and AJAX.
- Experience with SQL Server and relational database design.
- Knowledge of web services or API development and design.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
- Must be available to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
