Role and Responsibilities
ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position is accountable for administration, security, monitoring and support of Tucker Company Worldwide's network infrastructure and cloud- based IT systems, to ensure systems are highly available and responsive, to exceed the needs of Tucker staff as they serve our valued customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, configure and upgrade network hardware and software to maintain performance, reliability and security of all components and the network infrastructure as a whole
Ensure redundancy of connectivity and system components, to eliminate single points of failure
Perform data backup/restore functions, and test backup systems and procedures.
Initialization, configuration, testing and maintenance of secure EDI and SFTP connections with business partners
Monitor all systems, including endpoint security and configuration and vulnerability management systems
Troubleshoot system/service outages, and resolve network-related user issues in a timely manner
Conduct evaluations and make recommendations of network hardware, software and services
Participate in risk assessments and audits when requested
Develop and document procedures and network diagrams
Administer user accounts and email and website systems
Maintain test lab for testing new deployments, upgrades and product enhancements
Perform other related duties as assigned
COLLABORATION
Collaborate with team members in other Tucker departments, to understand their requirements
Collaborate with other IT staff, to deliver exceptional customer service and network/systems reliability
Provide second level IT Support function within the team; back up first level support as needed
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours IT Support
Contribute to development, implementation and testing of Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) plan
Engage in Incident Response activities as a key player on Incident Response Team
Participate in the development of user network and application software training
Required Skills
3 years of experience as Network Administrator
3 years with Microsoft Windows Server administration and Active Directory, including Group Policy
3 years of experience with Microsoft Azure cloud administration
3 years in website, e-mail, database server and firewall administration
Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology
Strong problem solving, organization and communication skills
Preferred Skills
Bachelor's degree
Microsoft certifications
Software development and scripting skills
Logistics/transportation industry experience
