Responsibilities
As a Permanent Network Engineer - CCNP, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- Design, setup, and configure complex switching environments.
- Implement, maintain and support network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and other hardware.
- Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
- Develop and implement policies for network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to develop future network designs and solutions to meet emerging business requirements and goals.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users.
- Carry out network maintenance tasks, including configuration and installation of network hardware and systems.
- Conduct network modeling and analysis to construct a reliable, high-performance integrated network.
- Coordinate with vendors for the provision of end-user services, including the resolution of escalated issues.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- A current and valid CCNP certification.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, specifically with a focus on network engineering.
- Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise-level network equipment.
- Extensive experience with Juniper and Fortinet network technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to stay updated with the latest advancements in technology and the industry.
