The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing all aspects of production planning, quality control, inventory management, and maintenance. They will also be expected to implement and adhere to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. With at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and improving operational processes in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring production targets are met on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement effective production planning strategies to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Lead and manage quality control initiatives to ensure high standards are maintained across all products.
- Manage inventory effectively, ensuring there are adequate stock levels to meet demand and minimize waste.
- Implement and adhere to Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
- Apply Six Sigma methodologies to improve process quality and efficiency.
- Oversee the maintenance of all production machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other department heads to align operational activities with business objectives.
- Monitor and report on operational performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operations management role within the Manufacturing industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certification will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Production Planning, Quality Control, Inventory Management, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
- Proven experience in managing and improving operational processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using operational management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization.
- Committed to maintaining high quality standards and meeting customer expectations.
- In-depth understanding of industry standards and regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
