We are seeking a dedicated and driven Permanent Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underground utilities, water, sewer, storm drain, estimating, operations, and heavy civil. You will be responsible for managing all operational aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that they are executed efficiently and in line with our high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Operations Manager, you will be expected to:
1. Oversee all aspects of construction project operations, including planning, coordinating, and supervising on-site functions such as scheduling, engineering, material control, and safety.
2. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
3. Manage and supervise construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that all work is carried out in line with company standards, regulations, and project specifications.
4. Develop and implement cost-effective plans and schedules for project completion that align with company objectives.
5. Review and analyze construction project progress reports, and make recommendations for improvements.
6. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
7. Oversee the procurement of tools, equipment, and materials necessary for project execution.
8. Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all parties are informed of project progress.
9. Handle any arising issues or delays effectively to minimize the impact on project timeline and budget.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in operations management or a related role.
2. Proven experience with underground utilities, water, sewer, storm drain, estimating, operations, and heavy civil.
3. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risk.
6. Proficiency in using project management software and other relevant computer applications.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
