We are seeking a diligent, dedicated, and experienced Permanent Paralegal with a focus on Criminal Defense Law. This position is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to our dynamic and fast-paced legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in criminal defense, personal injury, legal writing, and documentation. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to our team of attorneys, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes. The role requires someone who is highly organized, capable of multi-tasking, and possesses exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
2. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and subpoenas.
3. Conduct thorough factual and legal research.
4. Manage client files and case documents, ensuring they are up-to-date and well-organized.
5. Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and court dates.
6. Communicate with clients, witnesses, court officials, and other attorneys.
7. Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information.
8. Prepare trial binders and exhibits.
9. Handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, filing paperwork, and maintaining office supplies.
10. Stay current with changes in criminal defense law and court procedures.

Job Details

Qualifications:

1. Associate’s degree or higher in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience, preferably in criminal defense law.
3. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
4. Excellent legal writing skills and the ability to draft clear, concise, and effective legal documents.
5. Familiarity with the rules, procedures, and documentation related to criminal defense law.
6. Experience in personal injury law is a plus.
7. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
9. High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
