Job Details
Responsibilities:
Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate searches
Draft and prosecute patent applications
Provide technical support for the patent prosecution process
Evaluate complex scientific and technical information for patentability
Stay current with advances in the life sciences field
Interact with clients, inventors, and patent examiners
Manage a portfolio of patents and client relationships
Provide legal advice on patent-related matters
Requirements:
Juris Doctor degree and admission to a state bar
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a life science field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, genetics, etc.)
At least 3 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
